Picton Still Perfect After the Quake

Picton harbour

Picton harbour

Picton and the Marlborough Sounds are unaffected as is most of Marlborough area, so along with the sunshine, its business as usual here.

The road between Picton and Blenheim is unaffected and a lovely drive. For those who are planning to travel South of Blenheim by road or rail, State Highway 1 and the Railway along the coast is currently closed due to damage north and south of Kaikoura.

The alternative route is inland via Murchison and the Lewis Pass which adds around 2 hours extra from Picton to Christchurch, and is also a lovely scenic drive.

We look forward to having you come and stay with us. Please contact us if you have any concerns.
